Our goal is to develop independent riding students with confidence, creativity and well rounded experiences, using horsemanship techniques to develop harmony with the horses.
Lesson fees vary depending on whether you use your own horse or a lesson horse, private or group setting. We welcome any questions you may have, please contact us for additional info.
Ages 4 and up are welcome!
We have a wide variety of select lesson horses and ponies, teaching concepts based on ‘Natural Horsemanship” or “Common Sense Horsemanship”.
We teach a wide variety of skills including:
~ basic grooming and handling of a horse
~ ranch roping/cow working skills
~ conditioning & training your horse for competitive trail riding
~ preparing students to participate in schooling shows
~ Liberty work
~ English and Western
Note for youth lessons: Parental involvement is welcomed and encouraged.
Clinics:
WSH clinics are a great way to further your horsemanship education. We offer day clinics locally, and 4-5 day clinics at ranches throughout the Pacific Northwest and Montana.

Horse Shows & Competitive Trail Competitions:
We haul horses and ponies for our students to shows, as well as Competitive Trail Competitions, and provide coaching at the event.
Training:
Western Sky Horsemanship accepts horses for training. Please email for additional contract and information sheet.
A Waiver Form for Western Sky Horsemanship and Equestrian Center must be completed and signed prior to any lesson given. Download the Waiver Form here.
With minimum 48 hour notification full lesson credit can be used within that current month. It is your responsibility to schedule the ‘make up’ lesson. No lessons will be carried over to the following month. If you cancel a lesson giving less than 48hour notice, no lesson credit will be issued.
