Dale
has been inspired and influenced by many great horsemen throughout her
life. Dale has participated in clinics with Buck Brannaman, David
Weaver and Gwynn Turnbull-Weaver, Peter Campbell, Jon Ensign, Steve Rother
and many others. She is motivated to continue on her journey and help
others find the “harmony with their horse” though respect, softness and
feel. Dale has been involved in many different facets of the equine
industry since childhood including, showing, 4-H, Search & Rescue,
endurance riding, cow-working, ranch roping, veterinary management &
guest speaking.
Dale
is excited to share her love of horses with children and adults. She
hopes to inspire those around her.
Dale
has instructed the horsemanship program for the City of Bellevue, Parks and
Recreation at Kelsey Creek Farm for several years and continues year round
lessons and clinics at a covered arena facility.
We
believe in offering a variety of equine experiences and opportunities to
our students. These may include: liberty work, trail riding,
endurance riding, beginning cow-working and ranch roping, as well as
traditional showing. Come see what all the excitement is about!
Western
Sky Horsemanship is involved with school systems and supports Work Based
Learning. This gives youth the opportunity to learn the discipline of
multi-tasking, time management, public speaking skills, organizational
skills, cost and expense business management. She is committed to
teach her students about many of the responsibilities of horse leasing or
ownership. She emphasizes treating others as well as the horses with
respect.
We
offer a variety of lesson horses for the Horsemanship lesson program.
The lesson horses are responsive, respectful and very loving. Clients
are also welcome to bring their own horses as well to find the joy and
harmony with horse ownership.
2007
was filled with much excitement, from successful horseshows, sponsoring
youth riders in endurance rides, taking the top 4 junior riders! We
also had a busy season with outdoor trail and cow working adventures!
This
year is off to a super busy start with clients joining in the joy of horse
ownership, or leasing, planning for the horse shows and an exciting trip
for WSH students to Canaan Ranch in Tonasket, 3 days of outdoor trail
challenges, and cow working. We're also busy training for our next
endurance ride with Dale again sponsoring and riding with youth riders,
teaching them how to condition their horses and camp safely. The
adventures continue.
This
program emphasizes safety and safe horse handling skills. All lessons
consist of groundwork, as well as riding. All disciplines are
welcome.
It
is our focus to build self-esteem, confidence, co-ordination skills and
develop a sense of responsibility with all of our students.
